will my ducks lay eggs year round or only once a year?

I was given 9 domestic ducks and have been told they will only lay once a year. Does anyone know if this is the case. From what I read they are a domestic mix from the mallard breed. They are only 3 months old, nearly as big as their parents. Wondering what to expect...

My ducks lay the most in spring and summer and less in the fall and winter. I have 1 Welsh harlequin, 1 Pekin, and 3 Rouens.

I have Khaki Campbells and Runners and they laid year round last year. This year they are hiding their eggs so it's hard to tell how many are laying.
