Will new chicks break a broody cochin?

I have a cochin that will not sit on her eggs well enough. She is up and down all day long. If I give her two 2 two or three day old chicks will she raise them and break the broodiness?

There is the possibility that it would work, but without her actually sitting, I doubt she is hormonal. I'd wager she is trying to pretend to be mommy. Maybe to increase her spot on the pecking order....
