i rehomed some pullets, and one of the pullets, as soon as she was put in with the other pullets at the new owners place did the drop wing, can that be a sign of pecking order or did i goof? this is chloe.. her brothers were crowing, but she had shown no sign whatsoever...

How old? The comb and wattles look just the same as the cockerals, so could be a roo. Can't really tell saddle feathers from that pic, or leg thickness. But, no, I've never seen a pullet drop a wing, that's a guy thing. For pecking order they fulff up the neck and chest bump.

I have a Bantam Buff Brahma hen who did the same thing when I added her to my flock. I believe she does this as a sign of dominance as she is very self assured and bossy.

Sorry but i think its a roo! It has really big wattles and combs and Ive never seen a hen do that.

Do you have a photo from the side? From this angle, I think I see pointy feathers, but it's hard to tell.
