will they lay?

I bought 12 hens from a guy about six weeks ago and they are all the same age but only six of them are layin any ideas?

What age? They may not be of laying age or may be beyond laying age.

Stress also plays a factor in laying.

Are you sure it's the same six that are laying and the same six that are not laying every day? It could be that they're all laying, but not producing an egg every day.

yea im sure because the eggs the six lay are the same size and color
