Here it is, early December, and on November 30, my 2 Narragansett hens started laying eggs. I'd been seeing the Tom, copulate the hens, for a couple of weeks prior, and thought that seemed oddly early.
Last season, earlier this year, (my first), the girls started laying in mid February, and laid until the end of July, give or take a few days. I didn't have an incubator ready, at that point, and we never got to double check fertility.
So, if I incubate these, assuming that last year's eggs were fertile, is it likely to expect a few hatches, out of this batch?
