Will this hen lay white or brown eggs

    Hi I just got down incubating and I got four chicks that hatched the three died and she’s the only one so I’m on day 11 trying to get her some friends I don’t know what color egg she will lay she is mixed with barred rock and my black and white rooster not sure what breed I will post a photo she is mostly white and I’m not sure yet if she’s a she but hopefully 1DE8ED3F-F626-4E80-973D-7C8EBC22D636.jpeg
     

  2. Brown I think if she gets white earlobes (most likely) a white layer red earlobes (most likely) a brown layer

    You can tell the colour of the eggs by the colour of the ear lobes?? Sounds like an old wives tale, I’ll be gabaffled if it’s true...

    You will have to wait. I have 2 pullets with white ear lobes and they lay brown eggs.

    purebreds mostly, there are a few that doesn’t work I believe. Any mix breeds are a coin toss.
