Wing flapping?

Hey so ive had my ducklings for a couple days now (theyre 8 days old) and when they see me they 'stand up' (theyre runner ducks) and flap their wings while wagging their tails xD

Does anybody know why they do this? I hope theyre not afraid of me or anything

I'm not sure why but all my ducklings have done it. My adults do it too

That means they are totally happy to see you.......Feathered Puppies all their lives...
