As the dark rooster left, Cherrypaw remained, hidden in the shadows of the night.
 
The red eyes narrowed before the vague silhouette vanished, the only evidence of her departure being the silent pitter-patter of feet as she trailed off, the moon playing on her inky feathers in violet hues.
