-WINTER BROODINESS-

If you live where I live, I've seen chickens go broody in Feb. and hatch out in early March.

We actually have a little thunderstorm outside right now... one of those rare 4th of July things.
 
We had a banty go broody last November, she hatched her eggs. November temps up here were between 20-40 f. The problem was brooding the babies in the cold. We wound up with babies in the garage all winter.
