Winter in the chicken coop

    When I woke up this morning it was 19°!! I live in Florida. It was cold!! [​IMG] We had to put blankets on the chicken's pens to keep them warm. They're not used to it yet.
    Here's some of the pictures.

    That looks cold for me! On a season like that, glad I live in Indonesia, and so are my chickens! [​IMG]

    We are! My grandma is making them hen saddles. They're shivering so much because they're molting. I don't get why they do it THIS time of year... [​IMG] And also....
    I've learned that purebreds aren't as hardy as mixed breeds. I don't know why. Pop is a Del-urken. (Deleware-Turken) That's why she wasn't shivering with the purebred turkens. I'm glad that we have some mutts. lol. [​IMG]
