Our girls are just 3 months old which puts them at laying age around November 1. We are in MA. It will be dark around 5:30pm. We have BO, LB, & EE. We would like to get some eggs from them this year. Will the laying stop because of the lack of light even before they ever start? Will adding a light in their coop until 7pm-ish make sense? I am fine with them laying less frequent but we'd like to get something....

I would put a light in there. Ideally, they should have 14 hrs of light each day. I would expect that the EE's may take a little longer to lay.
