did you know there is a poisonous primate?! It is called a Slow Loris.
nature is so fascinating
They are awesome little creatures. I think there are some videos of them on YouTube.
apparently it has poisonous elbows and rubs the venom on its mouth so when it bites it makes you sick
Technically the Slow Loris is venomous. Venomous is when the toxin must be injected to be effective, and is done so through a bite, barb, or other mechanism. Poisons act through other mechanisms, such as touch when it comes to poison ivy, or through ingestion of the toxin.
There are also several species of poisonous birds, such as the Pitohui dichrous, that distribute neurotoxins through the skin and feathers.
I've known some humans that must be carrying Slow Loris DNA. They were both poisonous and venomous.
