I have a four day old Orpington that is having a rough time, I picked my chicks up from the post office yesterday, got them all set up in their brooder and had seen all of them eat and drink before I left for work. When I got home that night I noticed one of the chicks wasn’t nearly as active as the rest of them and wouldn’t even open it’s eyes when I picked it up, I figured the stress from shipping might’ve just set in, so I hand fed her water with electrolytes and some scrambled egg to see if she’d perk up, and she did a little, but we’re back to square one this morning. She won’t eat or drink on her own, all she does is huddle under the heat lamp and her wings are droopy and if she does walk around it’s wobbly and sad to watch. I’m thinking coccidiosis, but I haven’t seen her poop to check. Some of the other chicks have had some frothy and/or reddish poops but they’re all actively eating and drinking just fine. Any ideas or recommendations?
