Wonderful News About Zsa Zsa

Two days ago, I found Zsa Zsa with her breastbone sticking out and could feel and hear a broken egg inside her. She was bleeding a lot.

I was really concerned and money was too short to take her to the vet. I had 3 emergency vet calls last month, 2 goats got bit by my dog and my horse had a foot problem. This was the 4th.

We put her in the shower with towels down. And put warm wet compresses on her to help draw out the egg. The next day she laid a giant egg. Had blood on it, read on here that was ok. She ate a lot and drank lots.

Today, the cut with the bone sticking out was a nice neat CLOSED scab.

No bone sticking out. She was perky this morning. Almost back to her old self.

I am so happy. She's going to be fine. God healed my little hen. She didn't lay en egg today but that's ok. That nasty cut is Closed and she laid an egg yesterday.

Just wanted to share the happy news.

That's so great! Cute name for her too, I used to know a show bunnie that had that name I always liked it

Wow! What was in the huge egg she laid? Was the broken egg in it? Will a hen "absorb" a broken/defective egg much like a clam does a piece of sand made into a pearl, but cover it with eggshell and lay "two eggs" at once?
I'm so glad Zsa Zsa is OK.

She's a Black Star and I named her that because one of my roos made a pass at her when I first got her and she "slapped" him in the face with her wings. She is also very popular with my roos, almost too popular. So the name suits her.

I'm so happy she's going to be ok.

I haven't opened it. I will though and see what's in it. It was close to turkey egg in size.
