I am so excited. One of my EE's laid her first egg today. I went to check on their water (snowy day) and there it was. A beautiful olive green egg. I am so happy!

Our EE Agnes laid her first egg today--its the exact same color as your EE's but when we took a picture it looks BLUE!! Why is that??? Did our camera remove the dark brown base color?? Anyone know??

Quote:The color may look wrong because you have it on a brown background (the deck railing). Colors tend to look different depending on what color they are near, it's an optical illusion. Try taking a picture of it on a white background like the OP and it should show it's true colors.

To the OP - Congrats on your first egg!!! I've been checking the coop all week for my first egg, but nothing yet...
