Wood duck plumage

I am just getting into wild ducks and am almost done with my aviary. I got a good deal on wood ducks so I already have those and I already have someone selling me mandarin ducks too after the aviary is built. I have kind of a random question for the future. When the ducklings get there first feathers is it there eclipse plumage or there spring colorful plumage in the males?
