I think wood ducks are the most gorgeous birds. Does anyone have any or know who sells them?
Stromberg's sell and ships adult breeding pairs.
I have a few and about 15 that are due to hatch today or Monday. I have not checked the nest box yet but, I have not seen them out on the ground yet. Where do you live?
If you are planning to get some, I would check first to see if you need a permit, and what it takes to get one... McMurray also carries adult breeding pairs, and I see them listed on eggbid.com a lot
Oh you must be a hunter Frosty No thanks
Thanks for the leads.
It is my understanding that you only need a federal permit, in most cases, if you plan on selling the eggs or the birds. Othewise you don't need a permit to own domestically raised wood ducks.
I have looked over the permit and it is not that big of a deal.
