Wood Ducks

I could not find a wood duck thread so here is one.


I have a wood duck named squeakers and he just hangs out with my mallards . He actually flew in a while back, I'm guessing from a farm or something since the first day he came right up and laid about 4 feet away from me. Anyway he is funny and just really wierd since he tends to prefer female mallards to mate with over his own kind. I'll try to get some pictures of him tomorrow.

Very pretty! Now I am off to find out some info on wood ducks. I have never seen on in person and he is very cool looking.

Ohh Thankyou he is quite a sweet little duck , if I ever do get a girl I think I'll have to pinion her to be sure she stays , so many people tell me that they're so wild that they usually fly away even if they've said they're " domesticated"

No I have no idea where to even get one in the south , best bet is to check mallard land farms
