Wooden Shipping Crate for Brooder

    Just thought that I would share. I found mine offered on Craigslist, but you could probably ask at your local tile store. A tile store near me posted free wooden shipping crates. 3' X 4' My husband is getting 3 at a time into our small trailer. The man said that he has them all the time, so we could stop by any time for more! Love freebies for my chooks!

    I love my shipping crate brooders/coops! I found a company on my way to work last year and picked up 12 free crates. They are great for chickens, storage, brooding, breeding, whatever. Here is what I have thought of so far:

    My mosty recent conversion into a brooder. Gonna make 2 of them.

    My small coop that I had 4 EE's in. Hope to make a couple more of these as well.

    three more that I was given. I can get all I want! Can you say "Jackpot!"?

    All my brooders are shipping crates, they work great!!! just make you a screen cover and line the bottom with something and your set!
