After my first order never arrived, the second shipment finally came today! I got a call from our letter carrier at 4:15, apparently some kind soul from the Richmond post office drove them up here so they wouldn't have to sit overnight there, and then our carrier called and offered to bring them over! I don't think I flew home as fast as I did today from work.. I'm sure I hit some illegal speeds, but there, in my mudroom, was a peeping box. Lost 3 during shipment, 2 were my OEG's. 1 is still alive, but just sorta there.. only 1 other was not doing well, poor thing can't even sit up. So those 2 are in the 'hospital' wing (separate Priority mail box!) and warming up. They both drink if I offer it to them, so there might be hope yet. Added some Quik Chick and a dab of sugar to the water, so crossing fingers for a full recovery. The rest are peeping, eating drinking, pooping, all that good stuff. I've nailed the loudest peeps down to 1 chick, who seems to have a glorious personality [IMG] I'll post pics asap.

Very relieved in Beaverdam, VA with 34 new babies,

    Hey all!
Here's the first pics of the group. Lost a frizzle this morning [IMG] but the remaining 34 seem to be doing well. It includes the Ornamental layers, 3 Frizzles, 3 Araucanas, and 3 Lakenveders. Did a few single shots, if anyone has ideas as to what they are this newbie would be greatly appreciative!

Someone suggested an Araucana (cute puffy cheeks!) but not sure.. I'm even more curious about the little brown one, and the grey one with dark feet/leg feathers. Love em all though!

The gray feather footed on looks like a cochin. Super cute!
