My first brown egg today. Pictured beside my first white/Leghorn egg layed last week. Now trying to figure out who layed it. One of my R-I-R's or my Golden Comets.

Nope, the rir's are about two weeks older than the leghorns and comets. I have one rir that seems more mature than all the rest, I suspect it may be her. I guess it really doesn't matter, but it's fun guessing. I estimate the leghorn layed at 17 weeks. But I guess the comets do lay early so you may still be right. Thanks.

I'll check it out. I found the egg under the roost, so I hope she gets the nesting box figured out. The leghorn had it right the first time, lol.
