    we are planning to participate and I am sending info to my childrens school about it today. sounds like a good thing!

    I would so do this but what if you have eggs in the bator? i do

    couldn't i cut off everything but the bator?

    that is what I am planning to do. I cant afford to loose the eggs! I am just turnning off all tv's lights, fans, and burning a candle! its still kinda cold to turn off the heat (its 10 degrees outside)

    Oh well in that case i am in [​IMG]

    every thing will be off but my bator.. i have candles and it wont be that cold here at night i think it will be in the 40's wont be to bad for an hour

    I'll do as many lights and electrical appliances as possible, but we will have 5 day old chicks in the brooder, so they need their heat lamp!

    I think the point is to reduce your electrical use for that one hour! so if you have to have the brooder or bator on then do it, just turn all the others off!
