I was reading something the other day about gapeworm and it says that it comes from worms,snails and slugs outside. That got me worried about feeding my chicks worms while they are babies then since they might carry the gapeworm inside of them, then transfer to the baby chicks. (Something about worms - specifically the gapeworm too http://www.msstate.edu/dept/poultry/disparas.htm)
