    Hi All,

We have a soon to be 6 week old Jungle fowl chick that we are hand rearing. At what age should we worm him/her and treat with red mite powder?

    Thank you,

    Hmm. Don't know for sure.
I've heard of putting Sevin dust for mites in nests while hens are brooding and then chicks hatch without any mites bothering them.
I've always waited until chicks were about 2 months old at least to deworm, and then I've used diamataceous earth.
Don't know if that's any help. Maybe label on your particular product your using could offer more clues? If you list what brand & kind it is, maybe someone else on here would know more to tell.
    Best wishes!

    Thank you.

We have ordered wormer and the d/earth stuff. Just wanted to see if anyone had any big no no's regarding worming etc.

    Thanks again,
