I have a hen who pooped this morning and the poop was a burgundyish colour with tiny white/clear worms crawling around on the top. What type of worm does it sound like? Or is it totally different? We have separated her so the other hens don't eat the poop and we have given her DE in her normal food and apple cider vinegar in her water. She pooped again in the cage and now there is not sign of worms and the poop is brown. I will try to update the poop colour and her behaviour tomorrow. Her behaviour is normal so far.

You may want to post a picture of her droppings. Google some pictures of tapeworm. Chickens can get large roundworms, cecal worms, capillary worms, gapeworms, tapeworms, and others. Many are hard to see without a microscope, especially the larvae. A fecal float performed at a vet's office on a collection of several fresh droppings would be wise, so the correct dewormer could be used.
