Can you give us an idea on size? I have seem something like that in my fish pond (100 gal) It was skinny as spagetti, about 5" long. Some type of aquatic worm I suspect. Anyone have any other ideas?

Looked up on google, they listed something called a Horsehair worm. They develop inside crickets and grasshoppers and escape when the insect gets near water, ick! THis looks a little different as it seems to have a head. I would call someone at your Cooperative Exchange, maybe they would know for your area what it could be. ADKmama
