Hi there, I am new to chickens and am worried about my 3 week old barred rock. About 3-4 days ago she pulled all the fuzz around her vent area. It was red the first day and had some whitish discharge. Now it's not so red and there is still some discharge but not a whole lot. She is pooping a lot and there is definitely some white in her stool. Everything points to vent gleet but I'm just not sure! What else could it be? I've been doing my best at keeping her clean, she gets fresh water/feed daily and I am cleaning the bedding at least 3 times a day!!!

Get your post count up so you can post a pic. I think you have to have 10 posts to your name. Is her belly swollen? Wet down on her belly? White in poop is their urates. Chickens don't pee. It comes out in their poop.

Your best bet is to get your chicks on fermented feed. Also, Poultry Nutri Drench might help.
