Would a Buff Orpington Rooster over a blue egglaying EE result in an olive egger?

If so, would they lay olive eggs for sure, or is there simply a chance that they would lay olive eggs?

    Thanks for any input! [IMG]

My understanding is......if the hen is pure for blue eggs, her female offspring will lay a dark green egg. Not as dark as if the brown layer were a darker breed, but some muddy green or khaki colored eggs.

Thank you both for the replies! Too bad it's such a long wait from a hatching egg to the first egg, right? [IMG]
