Should i cut the thing that is attaching the chick to the egg? Would it be bad for the chick?
what thing? did the chick just hatch??
If the chick still has cord attatched at the "navel" give it time to separate and pull away on it's own. If it doesn't and you must you can cut it. If it is thick it's best to tie it off before cutting as a precaution, if it is real thin-hair like then just cutting it is perfectly ok. Just don't pull or yank on it.
Yes it did just hatch and it was attached to the egg with a weird yellow strand and i wanted to know if it was bad, and if i should cut it, and if it would hurt but i have handled it and it is fine.
Ok, Thanks for the help. The chick is fine and it is beautiful!
