Does anyone have any past pics of RIR or BR at +/- 4 weeks old that you now know the sex of?
Would love to see if mine are panning out to be Roos or Hens. No serious comb development yet.
I think they are hens, but could more easily tell if I had definitive pics I could compare them to.
When I get a chance, I will post pics of mine for you all to guess at. No camera right now.
Thanks,
Steve

Age are just guesses..

These 4-week BR pullets. The lack of prominent comb and wattles is obvious. You'll also notice that their barring is more black than white. That is, the black tends to be a bit more dominant. Roosters tend to be whiter (lighter) in color. I have also heard that the dark stripe down the front of the leg is an indicator. I have two pullets, one with a very prominent stripe and the other not as much.
