[IMG] just wait and see is all I can tell you. You just never know but I'd say the chances are good that he may return.

Pheasant don't typically stay around a certain area very long. They are also high on the predation list and are usually taken by hawks, owls and fox within their first year. Personally, I wouldn't "turn them out".

Your right I should have never let him out. He would run back and forth in his pin. He had his nose scraped and bleeding from the chicken wire. I really felt bad for keeping him up. He would come in most nights with the chickens in the coop. I guess that I was just hoping he would stay around![IMG]

Maybe if you sit that hen out there in a cage- it will attract him.

I would say its time to start shopping for a Male to go with that female, and if you want them to stay around keep them in the cages.

Quote:It makes perfect sense. I let out one of my roosters 3 weeks ago and he has stayed around long enough for me to shoot at him 9 times.

What kind of pheasant is he?

Quote:I think someone needs to do some target practice. [IMG] Did you at least hit the target on the 9th shot??? [IMG]
