to your chickens? I found a box full of the kirkland protein drinks in the garage, and don't want to throw them out if they can be used for the chickens.

I'd probably drink them myself if they tasted OK.

I'd check the sodium content first, sometimes things like that can be surprisingly high in sodium and chickens have a low tolerance for overdoses of sodium.

Frankly I'd be a lot more likely to just chuck it on the garden or in the compost pile. If I did try feeding it to chickens I would give them only a *little* per day.

If it's carbonated then no, chicken's cannot burp.

Otherwise I don't worry about some arbitrary FDA "expiration" date on things much anymore after reading a bunch on food storage and especially that article on mother earth news about how long eggs can store, I'm sure the FDA would not approve of an 8 months time stamp...

I agree though I would probably just drink it myself. If I drank that stuff. Heck I'm drinking kool-aid that expired sometime in 2005 or so, tastes just fine.

    I'd drink them myself.
If you give them to the birds, maybe you should space them out so they don't OD on any of the minerals

I wouldn't. To much protein could mess them up.

I don't think it would hurt in moderation. I would text it myself first and see how it smells and tastes.
