Would you feed this to your chicken?

    I dont know what it is but it was inside a tree we just took down. Any ideas?

    They're huge. This is a rotten basswood tree on our property that had to go. I'd give them to the chickens but I'm afraid since I don't know what they are

    Ive seen grubs before but never this large which is why we thought it was something else

    'Grub' pretty generic.....larvae, but from what insect may remain a mystery.
    If you give me your location(closest large city and state) and the length of that socket in inches, I can probably find out for you.

    Northwest indiana. Thats a chainsaw tool. I would say it was probably about a finger width. We ended up feeding them to the chickens. They went crazy for them

    We took down a tree that was dying and was loaded with grubs. The birds loved them.

    Sounds about right. It was hard to tell since they curled up. Probably an inch in diameter. As I said, I have never seen ones this large!
