    Hi,
My Autralorp has an odd looking thing on her beak. It looks like a wound. She's the top hen and went broody last summer, if that's relevant. Not sure what to think. And am worried I just suffocated her by putting some neosporin cream on it, About to go check on her. It is freezing cold where we are-down to 8 degrees.

Any thoughts or suggestions on what it might be?
    Thanks!

Thank you! Obviously I searched the threads for the wrong word--wound versus wart. Many thanks for clarifying it and I will email when whatever happens with it happens!
    Thanks again,
    Tory
