WOW! Anyone else experiance this?

  1. I was sitting in a huge box (2ft x 4ft) and my baby flew out! My baby chicken is 15 days old! We measured how high it flew and It came to height 4ft distance 5ft!
    Is that normal! My brother and I just stared at it![​IMG]

    Well one thing i have learned is whoever thinks chickens cannot fly has never been near one [​IMG] I think it varies a bit by age, breed but they definitely can clear some ground when they want too, adorable picture [​IMG]

    Of coarse, you seen a duckling jump? boy can they hop/jump... chicks are quite capable too.

    Mine could fly about that high at about that age. As they got older they have never gotten so they can fly any higher. They will fly up that high and then flap and climb higher with their feet but that's about all they ever could do. Range increased some but not altitude.

    my 15 week old went over next doors 6 ft + fence last night and landed on top of there shed , thats the first time i have seen mine fly they normally just run flapping there wings
