WOW... Just cracked my first official rotten egg.

    Oh my.... Hot frying pan... dropped one lovely egg into the pan, grabbed egg # 2 and cracked it and thought I was going to die! SMELL..... It is still in my nose. Needless to say I lost my appetite....
    I do keep my eggs out on counter, but i don't think this was old... Maybe it was a hidden one the girls had stashed somewhere, and then let me have in an assassination attempt.

    I remember that smell very well. Never wanna smell it again. Didn't eat the rest of the day.

    This was funny because my family would probably boycott fresh eggs also if they ever found a rotten one. lol

    Yuck, so sorry to hear of your misfortune. That is why I always crack eggs in a cup, then put them in the pan.... I know odds are I am gonna get a bad one sometime.

    I always crack mine in a separate bowl. If I am unsure, I do the float test.
