wrong to do this to a silkie?

I really have done some deep thinking on getting a few silkie eggs to hatch but I wonder if it would be wrong. The reason I say this is because as we all know silkies love to sit and be broody and for those out there that will always want or need more chickens it's great to have them to do the work. But I wouldn't be able to have any more so they would not be able to sit. I would hate for them to keep trying to sit on their eggs week after week and me have a hard time breaking them since their would not be any little chicks to persuade them to do so. Is this an unfound worry or accurate? Does others out there have them just as pets just keep trying to get them to stop or what?

I have silkies and I keep them as pets. It's great that they lay some eggs for me too.

I just collect the eggs daily, and they run around and lead their chicken-lives just fine without being broody!
