My cockerel has wry neck (from head injury). We have him in a cat crate with towels propping his head up. He has been in the crate for almost a week. We have been feeding him egg for protien. He is now strong, flapping and moving around. Its really hard to hold on to him he's so strong now. He's perfectly fine other than his neck is upside down. I was wondering; would it be beneficial to him if we made a brace for his neck to keep it straight? Or would it hurt him?

People often ask about braces for wry neck, but I feel like they really won't help since it is an involuntary movement due to the neurological disorder. I am not an expert though. Some people try it, but I would take it off if he seems uncomfortable or stressed.
