    I have a broody silkie sitting on eggs that should be about ready to hatch.. (no idea how many because I can't reach where she decided to do this)

    I also have a few that are a month or so old.

    I'm outside of Quitman, about 45 miles North of Tyler.

    To much to do around here and I think we are expecting nasty weather.

    Oh.. guess I should have said... there are 3 different ages here... they are all close, but week or 2 apart in age

    You were right.It got rough saturday evening. The tornado & lightning broke up my brooding cochin. I really wanted that brood she was setting on . They were cochin eggs. Wanted 2 or 3 more cochin hens
    to brood in the future. (that's why I want some silkies) I think Silkies & Cochins are the best mothers.
