Three hens dead in a few weeks one at a time. They stop eating, drinking, roosting, get limp, stop walking , sit down and die. No vent blockage. Just get weaker and weaker. I e moved them to food and water but they refuse it. It's isolated to one at a time. I free range a few hours a day in a large yard but I'm surrounded by good neighbors I need advice and help. This is my first flock and my first problem.

I'm sorry for your loss.

With this many dying in such a short period of time, I do recommend you send one for necropsy. There are links below for more information or call your local Agricultural Extension Office, they should be able to direct you to the right place.

Check anywhere your chickens range and their feed/ feeders/ water bowls, bedding, coop, etc., for any signs of mold or rotten matter. Any chance they found anything toxic like rat poison or was any fertilizer/pesticides used where they could possibly have ingested it on vegetation?

What does their poop look like?
What do you normally feed them?
How old are they?
How long have you had them on your property?
