This is supposed to be a Silver Laced Wyandotte, but it has a straight comb and spots that almost resemble hearts. It looks nothing like my other SLW.

I am hoping this is a pullet as its comb and waddle is much smaller than my other wyandottes of the same age. Love your thoughts.

It could be a wyandotte, just not "very well bred". Due to fertility problems associated with being pure for rosecomb in roosters, it should not be a big shock for single combs to show up, especially from hatchery stock or from anybody who keeps one rooster with many hens.

Lacing is due to being pure for several separate genes.. it's not a 'simple trait', so if there are various breeder birds not pure for this gene, another not pure for that gene... birds like this can show up. Even so, that's a pretty bird.

Definately a Silver Laced Wyandotte, though not laced propery, and yes female (pullet). Very pretty.

have you raised her from a chick? The only reason I ask is I have an 18 day old chick that is starting marking like that and I hope she turns out like that. She is so very pretty. Hope that is what my little girl ends up looking like Here is her pic
