One of the five surviving eggs from a shipment of nine pipped today. I get to go pick up chicks tomorrow (I hope). Do y'all ever count your chickens before they hatch?

When my last chicks were hatching, I kept jumping the gun and telling dh that I would have 4 chicks when they were through. He kept telling me not to count my chickens before they hatched. LOL

But I did wind up with four, so I guess I didn't jinx it.

I'm already finding homes for mine, and they're still just eggs. Talk about the potential to jinx it!

BTW: How many chicks do you want?

I GOT ONE! Golden-laced Wyondotte just out of the hatcher. More (hopefully) tomorrow!
