    Southern Oregon
I have Wyandottes and Rocks (not partridge, but I don't see how it could make that much difference. Am getting some partridge this spring!) and have not had any heat issues. I'm in Southern Oregon, summers get over 100, winters to negative teens on occasion. I do provide a good amount of shade in the summer, and try to give fruits/veggies with high water content besides keeping fresh water....although they prefer the mud puddles hands down.....
