XMAS Goose

We're planning on a goose for Christmas. The bird is arriving this Wednesday, the 19th from Nicky's, a very reputable purveyor in Portland, OR. It is fresh, not frozen. Can it keep in the frig until Xmas? Or should we plan on eating it earlier? Thank, Eugene, OR.

I usually get my turkey the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and to keep it fresh I throw it in the freezer for about 4 hours when I get it home. Then keep it in the coldest part of the refrigerator, and it should be fine.
