Hi!! My name is Big Momma!! Not 100% sure what I am other than a hen, at least I think!! I am big for my age compared to the other similar birds bought at the same time. I am about 10-12 weeks old. Thank you!![IMG]

She definitely looks like a couple of my "ameracaunas" i.e. eer's. They have been very prolific layers for me for the last month!

Quote:I have a darker one and I call her my hawk bird. Looking forward to seeing their eggs!
Where did you get Big Mamma? Vanessa is from McMurray's. They might be related, though Vanessa is older. [IMG]

What a sweet girl!!! I love her name!!
Big momma came from a feed store about an hour from our house....and I think they were calling her that Ameracuna (spelling??) breed. Do you know how big they get by chance?

Quote:These are my first. All I can really say is that they seem sleaker than the BOs and black Australorp. If she's from the feedstore she could be from one of the large hatcheries like McMurrays. More likely to be an EE than an Ameraucana I believe. But I'm no expert!
