Yawning hen?

My hen Belle, was sitting outside the kitchen window preening. Every so often she would tuck her head to her chest, the stretch her neck as far as it would go with her beak open. Is this normal?

I think it's normal. My hens (and rooster) yawn often, and I don't think it's linked to any medical issues.

Yep, normal, not 'yawning' per se...but adjusting the crop contents.

My one chick does that but he eats too fast!
