I just found out today that we are technically in Yavapai county not the city of Prescott (by 1/4 of a mile!)
I spoke with the zoning department guy today and he said that it is perfectly legal for me to keep my rooster !!! I was sure I would have to get rid of him but Justin(bf) kept insisting I make SURE that we were not county. I'm glad I listened.

Thanks! Of course now I have to listen to the "I Told You So's" from Justin but it is worth it. He said he never thought he would get so attached to chickens but the thought of giving Rue up was more than he could stand....who knew.
