Last week I noticed one of our new BR's acting a bit odd. She was making a loud squawk and I noticed her coming closer to me and a couple times she would act like she stumbled and get low to the ground. Well, it finally occurred to me that she was squatting. I had read about "squatting" last week on this forum and I finally realized what she was doing two days ago.

Two days later...

BTW, the way the white egg is styrofoam.

I left the egg in the nest for my son to find when he got home from school. He was extremely excited, to say the least.

Is that the normal size for a BR egg? I thought they might be larger. Maybe tomorrow.

Well, she started laying last Friday and hasn't missed a day yet. Seven eggs, all the same size, shape and color. So cool!
