Songster
I have a flock of 9 - 1 year to 2 year old
We started with clearing nose and small amount of bubbly eye in one hen about 3 weeks ago. It has since spread to the rest of them. They are all have raspy breathing when on the roost and scratching at nostrils and opening mouth sometimes. No more eye issues.
If I never checked on them at night I would not even really be able to tell aside from some werid eggs(light colored instead of normal brown, sandpaper or rougher to a feel and one odd shaped) over the last two weeks. No real slow down in production. They act normal all day long and you would never tell they were sick.
I am attaching pictures below
My question is what should I do. I have chicks growing in my basement and I want to add them this season but am fearful they are going to get sick also.
I dont want to treat with antibiotics unless I really have no other options. Do I have to cull and start over ?
