The fact that they are pestering me and not my chickens doesn't make them any less pests, does it? Actually I'd say they aren't pests as much as they are predators!

Please, somebody has to have some ideas on how to get rid of them from the yard and how to treat bites! I was only out in the yard for little more than an hour. My ankles are shredded! I itch so badly that I'm afraid I'll have raw places if I start scratching. One bite on my arm has a huge welt. Benadryl gel and CamphoPhenique have had no effect.

I know you can take a empty 2 liter bottle cut the neck off and put the top on upside down with the lid off and put some water in it and a piece of raw meat and the flies will fly in and won't be able to fly out and drown. that is what I do. Yet treating the bite I am not sure about. I am sorry
